Posts on here are fairly few and far between now, I know, but I'm here with a very important but slightly sad announcement today.
This evening will see the end of OhMyMusicals - I have now stopped performing in theatre in my own life, and if all goes to plan I'll be living a pretty long way from London come next September, so I really don't feel that I have anything else to say to the theatre world. Theatre will obviously always be a part of my life, and I will be continuing to write on Emily Rose's Writings, so it may well get the occasional mention on there if I go to see something fun!
This blog will stay here for you to read if you fancy looking back at old interviews at any point, but all my social media handles have now changed and I won't be creating any new posts.
As this is my very last post on here, I thought it would be fun to look back on my favourite posts I've ever done on OhMyMusicals. So in no particular order, here they are!
The first is when I interviewed the cast of Tick... Tick... Boom! last June. I adore the show and I felt so privileged to be able to interview the cast in such a detailed way, and then see the show a few days later - a blogging memory I will never forget. http://www.ohmymusicals.com/2017/05/tick-tick-boom.html
The second is cheating slightly, I feel, because it's actually several posts rolled into one point - in October 2016 I created 'Sunny Afternoon Week' where I posted an interview with a different cast member of Sunny Afternoon each day of the week. http://www.ohmymusicals.com/2016/10/danny-horn.html
Third are these photos I took when my friend Emily and I spent the day at West End Live! http://www.ohmymusicals.com/2016/06/west-end-live.html
Finally, I have left my favourite post until last - this was when I interviewed my absolute favourite singer, Frank Turner. I have listened to his music for what seems like forever and I never seem to go off it or get bored of it. I slightly naively emailed him and asked for an interview in 2016 and to my utter shock he said yes! http://www.ohmymusicals.com/2016/07/interview-with-frank-turner.html
Thank you so much to everyone who has read, liked and shared over the years. Running OhMyMusicals has been something I am immensely proud of - it has taught me loads of life skills, helped me make friends, and given me a really good "fun fact" to use in icebreakers!
Lots of stagey love,
